GEO and AI search optimization for clearer brand visibility
When potential customers ask AI assistants about your category, what do the answers actually say and which sources do they use? I assess representative buyer questions, how your brand appears, and whether your website provides clear, credible source material. The result is a scoped improvement plan with a repeatable way to review changes—not a promise of AI mentions.
When is this service relevant?
Typical situations worth investigating before choosing the next step.
Your brand is missing or misrepresented in relevant AI-generated answers while competitors are mentioned.
Core service and product information is scattered, outdated or difficult to verify on your website.
Your team lacks a defined baseline for Google AI features and selected AI assistants.
Content, engineering and brand teams need an agreed scope rather than speculative AI-search hacks.
Scope and potential deliverables
The final scope is agreed after reviewing the website; these are typical work areas.
A set of representative buyer questions grouped by intent, subject and target language
A dated baseline of sampled answers, observed brand mentions and cited sources
Review of discoverability, indexation, internal links and consistency of brand facts
Content gap assessment covering unclear answers, missing evidence and outdated details
Prioritized page-level and technical improvements with clear ownership
A monitoring approach for observed mentions, citations and identifiable referral traffic with limitations noted
How the engagement works
The steps are adjusted to the scope we agree on.
- 01
Define audiences, relevant questions and the selected platforms to sample

IN-DEPTH GUIDE
What GEO consulting covers, from audit to monitoring
Useful details to consider before deciding on this service.
GEO is not about rewriting every page for an algorithm or selling a secret AI-search trick. I separate what can be observed from what can be changed, then build a scoped review of buyer questions, cited sources and the information your website actually publishes.
AI search visibility depends on clear, accessible information. On-page SEO supports content clarity, while technical SEO helps systems access and interpret the pages.
Start with the questions buyers actually ask
I group a manageable set of representative prompts by intent, target audience, language and stage of the buying process. Questions may involve comparisons, use cases, supplier selection or specialist explanations. A consistent question set makes later checks more useful than isolated screenshots chosen because they happen to mention the brand.
Record the baseline with its sampling conditions
For selected tools, I log the question, language, date, sampled answer, mentions and visible cited sources. Model outputs can change between runs and users, so a sampled mention cannot be treated as a stable ranking or proven market share. The aim is a reviewable baseline that can inform work on your own website.
Check crawl access, indexation and source pages
Key pages need accessible text, coherent internal links, suitable indexability and reliable canonical signals. Rendering and CMS output are checked when relevant. Google does not require llms.txt, AI-specific schema or special content files for AI Overviews or AI Mode; structured data should reflect information users can actually see.
Make brand and product facts consistent
Core identity, services, product characteristics and contact details should not contradict one another across your own pages. An unclear About page or conflicting service descriptions are practical issues to fix. Invented clients, awards, usage numbers or citations are never an acceptable shortcut to apparent authority.
Strengthen original answers and supporting evidence
Pages need to answer meaningful questions accurately: scope, limitations, product differences, implementation details and verifiable examples. Depending on the gap, that may require a clearer service page, a comparison, useful documentation or original data. Repetitive articles and artificial micro-paragraphs are not substitutes for information gain.
Keep Google AI features distinct from other assistants
AI Overviews, AI Mode and third-party assistants differ in how they present answers and links. A method documented for Google should not automatically be claimed to work across every AI product. The selected platforms and limitations belong in the project scope, not in the fine print after results have been promised.
Evaluate observed visibility and useful referrals
Reporting distinguishes sampled mentions and citations from measurable referral sessions and qualified enquiries. Some platforms do not provide comprehensive referral or attribution data, and prompt samples cannot represent every buyer. I document those gaps so business decisions are not driven by inflated visibility scores.
Define a responsible engagement and deliverables
An engagement can include an initial audit, page improvements, technical implementation and periodic observation. We agree in advance on the number of prompts, languages, platforms, pages and reporting intervals. What I deliver is documented work and defensible measurement—not a guaranteed AI answer or citation.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
A few useful details before we begin.
What is GEO, and does it replace SEO?
Generative Engine Optimization is a label for work on how brands and source content may appear in generative search experiences. It builds on sound SEO, clear facts and useful content rather than replacing technical or on-page SEO.
Can you guarantee a ChatGPT mention or Google AI Overview citation?
No. Answers change with the prompt, model, time and product experience. I can document a baseline, improve material you control and monitor observations; citation selection is outside any consultant’s control.
Does Google require llms.txt or special AI schema?
No. Google says neither llms.txt nor AI-specific markup is required for AI Overviews or AI Mode. Crawl access, indexable helpful content and structured data consistent with visible facts remain relevant.
How will you measure AI search visibility?
A defined prompt sample, platforms, language and dates establish a repeatable comparison. Observed mentions, citations and identifiable referral sessions are reviewed where available, with sampling limitations stated.
Can you work on multilingual or non-English sites?
Yes. Questions and source content can be scoped by language and market. Platform capabilities and the consistency of measurements differ, so the reporting scope is agreed upfront.
Do we need to rebuild the site first?
Usually not. The first step is to examine important source pages, brand facts and crawl accessibility. A redesign is considered only where a documented limitation justifies it.
